The Mobile Outreach Crisis Team (MOCT) operated by MultiCare Behavioral Health is the only licensed mobile crisis team for adults available 7 days/week in Pierce County and therefore the only vendor who can fulfill this need. MOCT is also the only behavioral health provider in Pierce County currently contracted with PCSD for co-response services and is already familiar with the training and technology required for those responding with law enforcement. The new alternative response team is an expansion of these services for individuals needing a lower level of intervention than the current program provides.
