Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has a requirement for weapons and components of the MK 46 MOD 1, MK 46 MOD 1 with MK 3 Kit, MK 48 MOD 1, and MK 48 MOD 1 with MK 3 Kit. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, FN America, LLC DIV Columbia, SC, 797 Old Clemson Road, Columbia, SC 29229, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This is being sole sourced because the Government does not possess a Technical Data Package, duplication of cost to the Government is not expected to be recovered through competition, and the unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency requirement through another source.

All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which may be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
