Maritime Surveillance Systems SURTASS LTS/CLTS Solicitation Number: TBD Agency: Department of the Navy Office: Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command Location: SPAWAR HQ The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command in support of Naval Sea Systems Command, Program Executive Office, Submarines (PEO SUB), Maritime Surveillance Systems (MSS) Program Office PMS 485 intends to issue a sole source contract, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, to BAE Systems of Nashua, NH for the Low Frequency Transmit System/Compact Low Frequency Transmit System (LTS/CLTS) support. The contract period of performance is anticipated to be a Base Period of one (1) year with four (4) Option years and is to be awarded in the first quarter of fiscal year 2014. This effort is for engineering services and spares procurement in support of unique fielded systems for the Surveillance Towed Array Sensor System (SURTASS). Specifically required are engineering services, program management, quality, reliability, configuration management, testing, integration, installation, validation, maintenance, studies, development, design upgrades, logistics support, data and spares procurement. BAE previously developed and delivered the Engineering Development Model (EDM). They also produced an additional two shipsets which are currently in operation. Due to their requisite knowledge, technical expertise, specialized facilities and proprietary processes for LTS/CLTS, BAE Systems of Nashua, NH is the only contractor that can repair, maintain, design, integrate, test, produce, and integrate the LTS/CLTS system for PMS 485 Maritime Surveillance Systems.
