The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is located in Washington DC and Fort Worth Texas. The Washington DC facility is referred to as the Eastern Currency Facility (ECF) and the facility in Fort Worth, Texas is referred to as the Western Currency Facility (WCF). The BEP manufactures US Currency. The BEP has an FY 12 requirement for "Steel backup plates and rack repairs" at the WCF in Ft Worth, Texas as part of the currency manufacturing process.

The BEP intends to award a sole source FY 12 Blanket Purchase Agreement to Associated Rack Corporation. This award will be for a period of 12 months. The award will be made per FAR part12. The award will be fixed price (FP). The NAICS code associated with this activity is: 332299

Associated Rack Corporation will provide the BEP with the following services: steel back up and rack repairs. Associated Rack Corporation maintains an accurate record of all BEP drawing of the items used in the currency plate making process. If the BEP were to supply new drawings after a competitive acquisition, the time delay would place the manufacture of currency at risk.
