NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD TO SOLE SOURCE: Army Contracting Command Rock Island intends to award a sole source contract to Cincinnati Inc.  Cincinnati Inc. will be rebuilding a GE FANUC C4000 model-E resonator that is part of a Cincinnati CL-7A Laser. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 13-106(b)(1). The anticipated award date is 10 June 2021. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement was made due to the proprietary nature of the laser and the resonator.  The closing date for this Synopsis is 24 February 2021 at 12:00 PM Central Standard Time.
