Pursuant to Sections 41-16-50 through 41-16-63, Code of Alabama 1975, as amended, sealed bids will be received by the City Clerk’s Office of Prattville, Alabama, until Monday, September 25, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. Bids will be opened and read aloud at the City of Prattville Council Chambers, 101 West Main Street, Prattville, AL 36067 for the following item(s): Solid Waste Transfer and/or Disposal Services. The City of Prattville is seeking bids for the hauling of solid waste from the City of Prattville to an approved landfill and provide disposal of said waste into that landfill as a contingency plan when recycling is not available. Bidders shall submit a quote for a price per ton per contract year. Bidders must list on a separate sheet the elements of costs used to arrive at the contract price. This shall not be limited to: a) Rates for equipment usage or rental and personnel costs. b) Reimbursable expenditures, anticipated fees, etc. This proposal must include any and all charges the vendor anticipates billing the City of Prattville. Initial three-year period, with the ability to renew the agreement if there are no material changes to the agreement. The City reserves the right to add or remove any items to or from as necessitated by market demands. The City reserves the right to terminate this agreement at will with 30 days written notice. The distance to the Vendor’s facility from the City of Prattville Public Works facility located at 530 Doster Road Prattville, AL 36067 will be no more than 25 miles. The tonnage will vary during contract year. The City of Prattville does not guarantee a minimum amount of tons or loads to be hauled nor does the contract represent a commitment to haul at previous levels. Each sealed bid envelope must include two (2) originals of Bid Invitation, including Bid Specifications, Sealed envelopes containing bids must be addressed as follows and mailed or hand delivered to the City of Prattville Attn: Paula G. Barlow, City Clerk 101 W. Main Street Prattville, AL 36067, Re: Solid Waste Transfer and/or Disposal Services 023-017. If available, bidders are requested to include an electronic copy in Adobe PDF format. Enclose a signed and completed W-9 Request for Taxpayer Identification Number & Certification with bid response. Bidders are cautioned that failure to submit proposal in the format specified shall be grounds to reject the proposal and remove bid from consideration.
