The City of Fresno (City) is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified engineering firms for the preparation of design documents, geotechnical investigation, bidding and construction support for the canal rehabilitation and/or new pipeline installation and associated structures. The RWRF currently operates a 2,400 foot long canal structure that is in disrepair and is identified as Side Canal "A" as shown in Attached drawing. The scope of this project will include the design of a new concrete diversion structure which will combine the effluent flow from four final clarifiers, the repair/replacement of 2,400 feet of canal and the connection of the new pipeline with an existing junction structure. The intent is for the canal to either be A) rehabilitated and enclosed with a protective cover to prevent algae growth or B) abandoned and replaced with a new pipeline. If your firm is interested in participating with this project, please submit five (5) copies of your Statement of Qualifications to Matt Bullis of the Public Utilities Department no later than 4:00pm on March 1, 2017. The City will be utilizing a standard City Consultant Agreement and no exceptions to the agreement will be made. A copy will be made available to you during the interview process. Should you have any procedural questions, please feel free to call me at (559) 621-1632. If you have project related or technical related questions please email me at
[email protected] and I will respond to all recipients of the original SOQ. The purpose of the group response is to minimize responses and eliminate any unfair advantages. Construction Budget $1,500,000.00
