The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Joint Program Manager - Transformational Medical Technologies (JPM-TMT) & USSSTRATCOM Center for Combating WMD (DTRA/SCC-WMD) requires a lightweight, easy to use, handheld bio-identification system to provide the frontline warfighters with the ability to identify and characterize pathogens.
This sources sought notification should be considered an open call for offerors capable of providing technologies developed to at least the point of a "working prototype."

DTRA is accepting questions for this RFI but will not be providing responses. The questions will be used to develop more information and receive input from industry regarding this system. The RFI is strictly a request for capability packages. If a formal RFP is issued as a result of this RFI, Q&A will be allowed at that time.
