The Army Corps of Engineers is seeking capability statements from potential vendors.

The Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) of the Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) requires an Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) with autonomous capabilities to be used for research/testing/evaluation/demonstration. This UGV needs to have off-road, weather resistance capabilities for use in a wide variety of environments. The UGV must have a minimum all-terrain payload of 44lb and 4x4 drivetrain. The UGV must have a high-performance computing system with drivers for ROS and C++ for development of custom autonomous applications.

Sources are being sought for this Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV).

Requirement for potential vendors to be considered viable options are listed below:

The UGV needs to have capabilities for off-road use, i.e., not limited to paved roads.

• Minimum ground clearance of 5in
• Minimum payload of 44lb for all terrains
• 4x4 drivetrain
• Resistance to weather conditions
• Powered via lithium battery
• High-performance computing system with drivers for ROS and C++
• System require an inertial measurement unit

• High-performance attitude heading reference system
• Minimum 2cm RTK capabilities
• Long range communication functionality.
• UGV needs to have a standard runtime of at least 3 hours
