The U.S. Government has a requirement for continued operation and maintenance of dark fiber pairs over approximately  2,354 miles within the Southeastern region of the U.S. to support Department of Defense (DOD) communications.  The period of performance is to commence on 15 October 2014 for a base performance period of two (2) months and eighteen (18) 1-month options for a total of 20 months.  The requirement is to provide operations and maintenance in order to provide continuity of services of the U.S. Government-owned Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN).  The Contractor shall provide dark fiber and commercial facilities to support the requirement.  The Contractor's facility and its personnel must maintain a minimum Security Clearance at the Secret level.
