This is a notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate and award a for contract using other than full and open competition for Southern Crossroads connectivity to Internet2 with Southern Light Rail,258 4th street NW, Atlanta GA 30332. Southern Crossroads is the only connection point to Internet2 in the southeastern United States. The CDC requires connectivity to internet2 to collaborate on the research grade network with other Federal agencies, Universities and Public Health research organizations to accomplish its mission.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal. However, all proposals received after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
