Request for Proposals for Southside Force Main Rehabilitation Project - Phase 1 for Douglasville – Douglas County Water & Sewer Authority 8763 Hospital Drive Douglasville, Georgia 30134 November 10, 2021 RFP# 185 The Douglasville – Douglas County Water & Sewer Authority (hereinafter referred to as the “Authority”) is soliciting competitive sealed proposals from qualified firms for the Southside Force Main Rehabilitation Project - Phase 1 (the “Project”), along Anneewakee Road between Chapel Hill Road and Simon Road, as more fully described in the Request for Proposals. The scope of work includes the provision by the Contractor of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies necessary to complete the work. The Project will be “turnkey” and require minimal involvement of Authority personnel. The work shall include rehabilitation to approximately 4000 LF of 24” DIP force main that has been degraded by exposure to hydrogen sulfide gas. Rehabilitation may include open trench replacement of the line, pipe bursting, or installation of a liner system such as Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP), or any combination thereof. The finished product shall be of a material that is inert to hydrogen sulfide. If replacement with DIP is proposed, the DIP shall be lined with a ceramic epoxy lining such as Tnemec Series 431 Perma-Shield PL or approved equal.
