The intent of this ITB is to establish the requirements and secure firm-fixed pricing from qualified Bidder(s), for speech therapy services for the School Board of Volusia County Exceptional Student Education-Student Services. Services provided by awarded vendor(s) will be established on a rate per hour basis for the speech-language pathologists’ time and will cover all services rendered including but not limited to the following services: -Following the procedures as set forth for the referral, identification, screening, evaluation, eligibility, placement, and dismissal of students with speech-language impairments. -Providing direct and indirect intervention services including speech and or language therapy for speech-language impaired students, IEP development and meetings, Medicaid paperwork and other District requirements. -Following procedures for completing required documentation for student attendance, student progress, and reporting to parents. -Follow all rules and procedures in school handbooks as well as the Speech-Language Guidebook. -A copy of Interpreter’s weekly timesheet must be submitted to the District with the Bidder(s) billing for verification of services. A computerized system for time sheets is required. Interpreters may utilize the District’s computerized system for this purpose. Handwritten time sheets will not be accepted. -Speech-Language Pathologists shall attend training/professional development mandated by the Speech-Language office. If a vendor employee leaves a position before adequate implementation of processional development, vendor will reimburse the District for the employee time and training. Other professional development mot mandated by the Speech-Language office will not be the financial responsibility of the District, but the sole responsibility of the vendor. Prior approval from the Speech-Language administration must be obtained before attendance of such professional development that occurs during scheduled student attendance days. -Bidder(s) are requested to list pricing for traditional services as well as virtual. If the Bidder(s) does not offer virtual list “not applicable”. Not offering virtual services does not exclude the Bidder(s) from consideration.
