The City of Ferguson is accepting proposals for Speed Hump Installation within the City of Ferguson. Request for Proposal: Interested firms are invited to submit their qualifications for consideration. The submittal should contain, at a minimum, the information included in this Request for Proposal (RFP). Notice is hereby given that City of Ferguson is seeking proposals for services for installation of 110 speed humps throughout the city of Ferguson. Proposals will be received by the City Clerk at City Hall; 110 Church St, Ferguson MO 63135 until 11:00 am, July 19th, 2024 local time. Proposals should be clearly marked for the project you are submitting for: Ferguson Speed Humps. Proposals received after 11:00 am, July 19th, 2024 will not be opened. Proposals will be opened shortly after 11:00am, July 19th, 2024 at the Ferguson Community Center (1050 Smith Ave. Ferguson, MO 63135. A team of City of Ferguson officials will evaluate the submittals. All inquiries or contacts related to this RFP are required to be made exclusively through Koray Gilbert, Director of Public Works by email at [email protected] Project Description: The Ferguson Public Works Department is seeking bids to install 110 speed humps throughout the city of Ferguson. A street listing is attached. The specifications are as follows: • Install 110 speed bumps in Ferguson City limits as indicated in site plan. • Speed humps shall be 5 inches high and have a travel length of 10 feet. • Speed humps shall be painted with diagonal 8-inch-wide yellow lines spaced at 1-foot intervals with high quality traffic paint. • Speed humps shall be uniform throughout the city. • Contractors will install speed bump signs adjacent to each speed hump, backfill, seed, and straw. • Contractors shall take ownership of all construction debris and dispose of it off site in accordance with local laws and regulations. • Construction debris must be removed daily. • Clean up, remove spoils, and disposed of properly. Submission Requirements: Interested and qualified companies should submit a detailed estimate including all materials, labor, and any associated fees as well as a total cost for the entire project.
