This invitation to bid for the SRJC 12KV Main Switchgear & Feeder Switchgear Replacement Project requires a contractor license C-10 Electrical Contractor. Vendor is responsible for downloading all applicable documents included in this bid event. The estimated budget for this project is $250,000.00. Liquidated damages are $2,000.00 per day. The timeline for completion is 7 calendar days from notice to proceed. Work must be completed during Winter Break and must take only 1 week. The dates for Winter Break are December 19, 2020 through January 17, 2021. This is a Formal Bid advertised in the Press Democrat on October 8, 2020 and October 15, 2020. Due to current Sonoma County Health Ordinance restrictions, a Nonmandatory Bidders Conference will take place only via Zoom videoconferencing on October 19, 2020 at 10:00 AM (PT). Please see the meeting agenda document in the attachments section for details. A site visit may be arranged by appointment by calling David Liebman at 707-522-2836 or emailing at [email protected]. Maintaining appropriate social distance and wearing a personal protective mask is required. As per construction contract safety protocols and the Sonoma County Health Officer's Field Safety Requirements, contractor must establish a written COVID-19 prevention plan and be responsible for implementation of the plan. A Bidder's Bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California as a surety, made payable to the District, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the bid must be attached to the vendor's response. Vendor technical questions must be submitted to Paul Sarnsen of the Worley firm via email at [email protected] on or before October 21, 2020 at 5 PM (PT) - If an addendum is required it will be issued no later than October 28, 2020 by 1 PM through the electronic bid system. Bid responses are due by 1 PM (PT) on November 2, 2020. Once the deadline has passed the electronic bid system will not allow late submissions. Please note: All items with a red * are required - the system will not allow you to submit unless all required items are completed. Bids will be opened electronically and preliminary results will be emailed to bidders by 3 PM (PT). After the preliminary bid results are received by bidders, a Zoom recording of the bid opening may be requested by emailing the buyer of record. The Sonoma County Junior College District utilizes the college district website https://srjc.ionwave.net/Login.aspx and the Press Democrat (http://www.pressdemocrat.com/) for notification of formal solicitation opportunities. These are the only forms of notification authorized by the college district. Sonoma County Junior College District shall not be responsible for receipt of notification and information received from any other source other than those listed. It shall be the vendor’s responsibility to verify the validity of all bid information received by sources other than those listed.
