The following question was received in regards to the Statement of Work:
Question-
Therefore, our question is whether or not the scope of work should specify "off the clot" serum, which is obtained from a whole blood donation, where the material is allowed to clot "naturally" and contains no anti-coagulants or any added chemicals (accellerators) that would require removal. In addition, this material should naturally contain typical levels of those constituents for which 909 is intended to be an SRM (according to your catalog).
Answer- NIST agrees that the serum should be obtained "off the clot".
