Copies of the report shall be provided to the Chief Engineer, Port Engineer and the ABS surveyor. 8.6.2 The contractor shall provide a hard copy of all parts/logistical requirements that apply specifically to the new engine block, installed by Blanchard Caterpillar, to the Chief Engineer. 8.6.3 The contractor shall provide a digital copy of all parts/logistical requirements that apply specifically to the new engine block, installed by Blanchard Caterpillar, to the Chief Engineer and the Port Engineer. 8.7 Inspection/Test: 8.7.1 Inspection: 8.7.1.1 The contractor shall provide the services of an OEM certified Woodward Governor Representative during the duration of the test period. 8.7.1.2 The Woodward Governor Representative shall perform operational checks and adjustments to the governors for all five diesel generators on the USNS Arctic. 8.7.1.3 Any problems discovered during the course of testing, in which parts are required, and can't be provided by the vessel, shall be subject to a change order and contract modification. 8.7.1.4 The Woodward Governor Representative shall provide an out briefing with the ship's Chief Engineer and a formal service report within 30 days of completion of trip. 8.7.2 Operational Test: 8.7.2.1 Operate engine in accordance with manufacturer's recommended break in procedure. Engine break-in and testing may be conducted using ship's load. 8.7.2.2 Perform operational tests at approximately 25, 50, 75 percent loads in the presence of the MSCREP/ CHIEF ENGINEER and ABS for a minimum of 2 hours or until engine parameters stabilize. OEM rep shall verify and certify that engine is operating within established parameters. 8.7.2.3 Engine shall be operated for a minimum of 4 continuous hours at approximately 100% Load, while recording parameters hourly. OEM representatives shall observe operation and make any required adjustments to achieve operation in accordance with manufacturer's recommendation. 8.7.2.4 Ship shall collect baseline diesel analyzer data during load testing. Max firing pressures shall be measured on all cylinders OEM rep shall review for operation within OEM parameters. 8.8 Manufacturer's Representative: 8.8.1 All work specified in this item shall be accomplished under the guidance and supervision of Caterpillar certified field service engineers. 8.8.2 The Caterpillar certified field service engineers shall submit a written report to the MSCREP via the contractor stating "as-found" conditions and "as-released" conditions and records of "as-found" and "as-released" clearances. 9.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: None additional.
