The contractor shall provide the mechanical design, regression testing and production kits to mitigate structure borne noise for PCDs to be hard mounted within the Stragegic Weapons System.  The contractor shall also provide updates to the Advanced Development Labratories located at NSWCDD and GDAIS to be used in the development of the Mod 8/9 Fire Control System

Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA.  GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control System and Attack Weapons Control System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.  See Note 22.*****
