During the execution of the SSP Shipboard Integration (SSI) Increment TRIDENT II Fire Control (FC) SPALTs the contractor shall provide software, hardware and documentation for the following:

• Weapon System Simulator (Rev 5) necessary for changes to the SSI Increment # 1- Mod 6/7 Software and Problem Reports (PRs) found during testing
• Development of a Vulcan Workstation (WS) to support SSI Increment # 2 SDS documentation
• Updates to documentation (SWSMIN, AMIN, & EWL) in preparation of the SSI Increment # 2 - SDS SPALT
• Electronic Weapon System Diagram (EWSD) studies
•  Implementation of the Synergy Change System

Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA.  GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control System and Attack Weapons Control System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.  See Note 22.*****
