The Valdosta Regional Airport will accept proposals to replace the current roof on the Passenger Terminal located at 1750 Airport Road Valdosta, Ga 31601. The following minimum specifications are required: 1. Bronze Color 2. Standing Seam 3. Replace damaged roof insulation with the same or higher insulation value product to be considered incidental 4. Gutter system mounted to the side of the building to go over the existing “in the wall gutters” 5. A minimum of a 20-year warranty 6. Bronze flashing and trim 7. New boots on all roof penetrations 8. A construction plan must be provided to ensure the interior of the building is protected from inclement weather conditions 9. Airport Badging will be required during this project, which will require a background check and strenuous escorting of non-badged personnel. A training class for the badge takes about 1.5 hours and must be completed prior to the issuance of access badges. Anyone violating Transportation Security Administration (TSA) or local safety and security rules may be escorted off the property and further access denied. 10. Coordination with the Airlines as to not interfere with their operations will be required. 11. The contractor must meet the requirement of the statute “BUY AMERICAN”. The Valdosta-Lowndes County Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any proposals.
