The United States Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ) Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000 has a proposed sole source acquisition to purchase a quantity of 2 - Star CCM+ Power Session Multi-Site perpetual licenses and a quantity of 2 - Star CCM+ Additional Session Multi-Site perpetual licenses. The software is used for engineering analyses of Army's ammunition and weapon systems mission. Therefore, the Government intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a firm fixed price call order under Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) W15QKN-17-A-0079 to Siemens Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Software Inc., 5800 Granite Parkway, Suite 600, Plano, TX, on a sole source basis. The period of performance shall be twelve (12) months. The proposed sole source acquisition will utilize the authority under Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items, 41 U.S.C. 1901 (or 41 U.S.C. 1903 for Special Emergency Procurement) as implemented by FAR Subpart 13.5.

A letter of contemplation was sent to Siemens PLM Software Inc. on November 27, 2018 and the proposal is due on December 12, 2018.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, or proposal, which shall be considered by the Government.
