The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) has a requirement for Stereo Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) Software Analysis Package. This software package will be used to analyze flowfield velocities from a measurement technique known as sub-regions using fast fourier transforms (FFT); the velocity is dervied from the location of the cross correlation peak, using a peak-finding algorithm for each of the sub-regions. The requireement identified the need for manufacturer specific software brand.
