The United States Air Force, 88th Air Base Wing, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio 45433-5344 is preparing to solicit for a firm-fixed price contract for one (each) stereotactic body frame for radiation therapy. The contract line items will be firm-fixed price. Proposal equipment shall meet the requirements contained in the specifications below:
- High reproducibility in repositioning of target for targeting tumor volumes, dose escalation and hypofractionation.
- Built-in reference indicators for Computed Tomography or Magnetic Resonance to provide accurate determination of target co-ordinates.
- An adjustable base, 2000mm x 530mm x 22mm for horizontal positioning of frame, in scanner or on treatment couch.
- Reproducible set-up, using vacuum pillow and marker device co-ordinates.
- A vacuum activated system that minimizes both voluntary and involuntary patient motion- such as respiratory motion- for continuous precision in treatment as well as for reliable and effective treatment planning.
- An integrated external fiducial system.
- Vacuum cushions that create a comfortable, stable and precise mold of the patient's position.
- Compatibility with treatment systems currently being used, the Varian Linear Accelerator 2100 C/D and the Ximatron.
- Include installation and configuration of the hardware, and applications training for the clinical staff.
- Warranty period shall be for one year that begins on date of installation.

Delivery for this equipment should be 1-3 months after receipt of order (ARO). FOB Destination.
We intend to award this contract sole source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered. The sole source is: Elekta, Inc. 4775 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Bldg 300, Ste 300 Norcross, GA 30092.
Per FAR 5.207(15)(ii) all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
At this time no small business set-aside is expected. NAICS Code 334517, Size Standard 500 employees.
