The 88th MDG Central Sterile Processing currently does not possess a sterile drying system. Instruments that have lumens and are not completely dry cause loads to fail in the the sterilization process. This is critical with our V-PRO low temperature sterilization unit which utilizes parasitic acid.
The contractor shall provide the following:

-Double Door Pass Through Configuration

- Eliminates recontamination of parts and tubes during the drying process while they are warm and wet.

- Full sized transparent doors that are hinged in the center for easier loading.

- The air circulation and filtration system consists of a prefilter and a HEPA filter that prevent airborne bacteria from contaminating parts and tubes during the drying process.

- Drying temperature is fully adjustable to meet the different drying requirements for various types of loads.

- Recirculating air system design provides extra efficiency by reusing warm air.

- Thermal cutoff

- Automatic timer

- Adjustable shelves
