DESCRIPTION: The Air Force Test Center (AFTC), Edwards AFB intends to solicit and award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR Part 12, soliciting from a single source for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. 48 CFR 13.106-1. The simplified acquisition procedures contained in the Federal Acquisition Regulation, pursuant to section 1901 of title 41, shall apply as provided in such section to the agencies named in section 2303(a) of this title. Sole source purchases are in accordance with section 2304(f) of title 10 or section 3304(e) of title 41 U.S.C. The AIAA Annual eJournal/Meeting Paper subscription (institutions) is being procured through Turpin Distribution, Inc. The contract will be award to Turpin Distribution, Inc., The Bleachery, 143 West Street, New Milford, CT 06776, in the amount of $21,573.85, which will satisfy agency requirements. The contract award will be made on or about 30 April 2014. AIAA. is the sole publisher of the required supplies to support 412th Test Wing Engineering Group. This is not a request for competitive proposals and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. No costs will be incurred by the Government for submittals in response to this notice. The Government will consider all responses received within 5 days of the publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered exclusively for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
