Project Description: This Contract will widen 124th Ave. NE to a four-lane arterial with a two-way left turn, landscape strips and sidewalks, extending improvements from the NE Spring Boulevard to NE Ichigo Way segment, which was constructed in 2020. Improvements will include a fish-passable culvert for West Tributary to Kelsey Creek, underground utilities, street lighting, new traffic signals and existing traffic signal modifications, landscaping, urban design treatments, and revised access for sites along the roadway, compatible with current and future land use. Work contemplated to be performed under this contract is as follows: removal of structures and obstructions, cement concrete curb and gutter, cement concrete sidewalk, asphalt concrete pavement, asphalt for multi-use trail, cement concrete pavement, water main improvements, sanitary sewer improvements, fire department connections, storm drainage improvements, soldier pile retaining walls, cast-in-pace retaining walls, structural earth retaining walls, gravity block walls, fish passable 3-sided box culvert, dewatering, stream grading, bypass, and fish handling, illumination systems, traffic signals systems and temporary traffic signal systems, intelligent transportation systems, landscaping, irrigation, and urban aesthetic features, fencing, pedestrian railings, and gates, joint utility trench, property restoration and miscellaneous work, all in accordance with the Contract Plans, Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. Subcontractor/Supplier Opportunities Include (but are not limited to): clearing & grubbing, erosion control, soldier pile retaining walls, structural earth retaining walls, gravity block walls, HMA paving, concrete paving, planing, striping, landscaping, hauling, permanent signage, hydro seeding, traffic barriers, dewatering, electrical, traffic control, survey, flatwork concrete, structural concrete, furnish & install rebar, shotcrete facing, fencing, pedestrian railings, and gates. As well as the supply of ready-mix concrete, pipe/utilities, aggregate, wall materials, and disposal.
