SUNY Adirondack Student Center and Warren Hall Roof Renovations NOTICE TO BIDDERS The Board of Trustees of SUNY Adirondack, Queensbury, New York (in accordance with Section 103 of Article 5A of the General Municipal Law) hereby invites the submission of sealed bids for: SUNY Adirondack Student Center and Warren Hall Roof Renovations Bids will be received until 2:00 PM local time on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 in the SUNY Adirondack Business Office, Warren Hall, 640 Bay Road, Queensbury, New York, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Warren Hall Conference Room at the SUNY Adirondack Campus. Any bid received after the designated time will be returned unopened and will not be considered. In accordance with Section 135 of the New York State Finance Law, commonly known as the “Wicks Law,” the work will be divided into the following Separate Prime Contracts: No. 1 – General Construction No. 3 – Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Construction No. 4 – Electrical and Communications Construction Work of these contracts, as described in greater detail in the contract documents, is summarized as follows: Roof replacement and HVAC equipment upgrades of the Student Center and Warren Hall. The Notice to Bidders and complete sets of the Contract Documents may be obtained at Camelot Print and Copy Center Bid Department, 630 Columbia St. Extension, Latham, New York 12110 on or after Wednesday, February 28, 2024. Bidders who register as a planholder through the Printer may acquire the bidding and contract documents using the following options: For a refundable fee of Fifty Dollars ($50), interested firms may request and receive a printed copy of the complete set. Deposit checks shall be made payable to “SUNY Adirondack”. Checks will be refunded to the bidder upon return of bid documents in good condition within 30 days of bid opening in accordance with section 102 of the General Municipal Law. Bidding documents will be shipped upon request and upon receipt of an additional non-refundable shipping charge, payable by separate check to “Camelot Print and Copy Center” to cover shipping and handling costs. Only complete sets will be issued. An electronic download or copy on CD will not be provided as part of this option. Bids shall be sealed and distinctly marked “SUNY Adirondack – Student Center and Warren Hall Roof Renovations,” with the Name of the Contract and Number plainly shown on the outside of the envelope (e.g. Contract No. 1 – General Construction). Bids will be received until Wednesday, March 20, at 2:00 P.M. EST and shall be either mailed to SUNY Adirondack Business Office, SUNY Adirondack 640 Bay Road, Queensbury, New York 12804 or hand delivered between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Monday-Friday, local time at or before the time of the bid opening. The Business Office is located on the Main Level of Warren Hall. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bank draft payable to SUNY Adirondack or Bid Bond for a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid. [email protected]. Telephone inquiries will not be considered. All questions must be received no later than the close of the business day, seven days prior to the bid date. Addenda may be issued during the bid period at the discretion of the Architect. These contracts are governed by public bidding laws of New York State, subject to compliance with Article 8 of the New York State Labor Law regarding prevailing rate of wages, and exempt from payment of certain sales tax laws of New York State and other government municipalities. Prevailing Wage Rates apply to all work performed for Warren and Washington Counties. A “Performance Bond” and a “Labor and Materials Payment Bond” in the amount of the contract price and the form described in the Contract Documents will be required from the successful bidder. The Board of Trustees of SUNY Adirondack reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding or to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid which is in the best interest of the County.
