Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, the U.S. Census Bureau intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with Juanita Hobbs for the provision of technical services and training to Docutronix Syste-Mail 2000 sorters, Pitney Bowes Olympus sorters, and the overall ATAC (automated tracking and control system) process that is part of the 2010 Decennial Census. Ms. Hobbs is uniquely qualified as having been a participant in implementing these systems via the set up and maintenance of hardware and proprietary software and is the only known source sufficiently knowledgeable to work on the large variety of hardware and software involved. All work will take place at the U.S. Census Bureau National Processing Center in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The initial period of performance is one year with an option period for one additional year. This is not a solicitation announcement or an invitation for bids. Information received regarding this announcement will only be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Census Bureau believes it is in its best interest to award an order to Juanita Hobbs for the provision of technical services and training for the ATAC process. Inquiries may be addressed to Clark Terrell, Contract Specialist, NPC Procurement.
