Purchase of Surgical Profitability Compass membership access from The Advisory Board. Only the Advisory Board Company has the software specifications in their product that can fulfill UI Health's requirements. Without access to Surgical Compass Profitability, patient care is diminished and potential revenue is foregone. Surgical Profitability Compass Membership Access membership is offered to UI Health as a result of an existing association with the Advisory Board Company. The University has utilized the Advisory Board Student Success Collaborative product since January 2013. The University has determined that this purchase is only economically available from this source because the education, research, public service, or athletic activities are related to participation in mandated organizations of which the University is a member. The public hearing allows any interested party the opportunity to testify for or against the sole source determination as described in this notice. The purpose of the hearing is to receive information from the public in a reasonable manner. Formal rules of evidence will not apply. The hearing officer will produce minutes of the hearing and may record it in order to aid in the production of the minutes. After conclusion of the hearing we will decide whether the sole source determination was appropriate.
