On 3 July 2019, the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) awarded a sole source contract to BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration, Inc., Nashua, NH, in the amount of $41,857,362 for the production and sustainment of Low Frequency Transmit Systems (LTS) and Compact Low Frequency Transmit Systems (CLTS). The contract includes production of two (2) CLTS systems, engineering services, material, travel, and provisioned items orders for spares under the Program Executive Office Submarines (PEO SUB), Maritime Surveillance Systems (MSS) Program Office (PMS 485). The contract includes cost-plus-incentive-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee, cost-only, and firm-fixed-price line items. The contract has a one-year base period of performance, plus four one-year option periods. One of the CLTS production systems is to be delivered by 2 January 2024 and the second CLTS System is to be delivered by 2 January 2025. BAE is the only responsible source as evidenced by the Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition (J&A) Number 18,418 (attached in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.305.)
