The Scope of Work for this project is to reconfigure swales to original conditions and install exfiltration trenches throughout the city of Lauderhill. The original intent of a swale area is to be lower than the grade of the roadway and to be pervious. Overtime, swales can lose their shape and thus their functionality due to various circumstances, including but not limited to being partially replaced with impervious surfaces (i.e. concrete, pavers, asphalt etc.) or be filled with sand and topsoil, or the planting of trees and shrubbery. The city intends to make this a program with more designated areas to be created. The City will reserve the right to renew eligibility for one (1) additional one (1) year term based on the Contractorâs acceptable level of performance. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: ⢠Removal and disposal of existing grass, landscape material and top soil. ⢠Removal and disposal of trees from the swale area.
