The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) intends to issue an award on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)) to Loligo Systems ApS, Toldboden 3, 2. Sal., Viborg, 8800, Denmark, to provide 10L Swim Chambers with 120 V / 60 Hz power for zebrafish and other small fish. This basic system includes the swim tunnel, and oxygen equipment required for measurements of respiration rates in aquatic animals during forced swimming. The system can be upgraded for fully automated measurements and analysis (e.g. computerized intermittent respirometry) by adding respiration software for Windows, a BlueTooth power strip, and a DAQ-BT device. Specifically included in the swim tunnel are: 1) Swim tunnel respirometer 10 L (120V/60Hz), 2) Witrox 1 oxygen meter for mini sensors, and 3) dipping probe oxygen mini sensor (L100 mm). The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334516 with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same or similar product. All capability statements received by the closing date of this publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
