The USDA National Veterinary Services Laboratory Ames, IA, intends to award procurement of SWIN Sensititre Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) Susceptibility Plate part number CMV3AGNF and CMV3AGPF, Demineralized water T3339, Mueller Hinton broth T3462 and Doseheads E3010. These are used as part of the Standard Operating Procedures and with SWIN Sensititre equipment. This ongoing research using the SWIN Sensititre Equipment and will be conducted in accordance with the procedures in FAR Part 13.106 and 6.303-2. The purchase determination is based on past similar purchases, the requirement to maintain consistency in reagents used and ability to continue use of product approved for use in existing laboratory equipment and testing. Establishing a new source for this product has been unsuccessful due to the proprietary nature of this equipment and material. The cost has been determined fair and reasonable based on current technical knowledge of fair market value. The anticipated purchase order value to Remel, Inc. is $36,489.28. This is not a request for quotation. However, all interested parties may contact the Contract Specialist listed below. Sources interested in responding to this requirement must be able to provide compelling evidence that they can obtain/provide the reagents required for this project.
