The project scope includes planning, design, and construction phase engineering services. The expected duration of the project is approximately 6 years and includes an estimated 2-year period for easement acquisition. This project is located in downtown Cincinnati on Sycamore Street between East 4th Street and East 6th Street. The project area begins at the intersection of East 6th Street and Sycamore Street and extends south across East 5th Street and East 4th Street on Sycamore Street and consists of approximately 932 feet of 18-to-36-inch diameter sewer. The active conveyance system receives flows from storm sewer inlets and sanitary sewer laterals. The existing pipes vary in size, material, and condition. Condition assessments had identified numerous structural defects in these pipes including longitudinal and spiral cracking. The hydraulic model also indicates surcharging in events as small as the 6-month storm.
