SYNOPSIS: Centinel Spine MIDLINE II ALIF Implants

This synopsis is issued in accordance with FAR 5.101(a)(1) and FAR 5.207. This proposed action is for the procurement of spinal implants for two separate Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion (ALIF) surgeries.

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).

This proposed procurement will be a sole source award under North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 339113: Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing. The proposed source is Airborne Medical Depot, LLC, 5464 W. LADY BUG CT., TUSCON, AZ, 85742-8364

The neurosurgeon has determined that Centinel Spine's MIDLINE implant system best meets the needs of the patients for the two surgeries. Additionally, Centinel Spine's MIDLINE implant system is the only known system that the neurosurgeon is trained on for this type of spinal procedure.

The Government will award a contract to the responsible Offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and is most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Technical Capability and Price will be used to evaluate all offers.

The Department of Defense (DoD) has determined the System for Award Management (SAM) to be the single point of DoD registration for contractors who conduct business or who are interested in conducting business with the government.
