The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award on a sole source basis a purchase order to Mary Ann Liebert Inc located in New Rochelle, NY. The purchase order is for the purpose of providing Multi-Site Online Access for 21 subscribed journal titles. Mary Ann Liebert Inc is the publisher of these journals already subscribed to by the CDC Information Center Library, and provides the only source for a multi-site license providing access to all CDC/ATSDR staff. The authority for this sole source is FAR 6-302-1 (a)(2) – Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 511130. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. However, firms that believe they can provide the required products need to submit written notification of interest and capability to the Contracting Specialist within 15 days from the publication date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
