The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) for the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate on a noncompetitive basis with Elsevier Inc., 525 B Street, Suite 1900, San Diego, CA.92101 to purchase reprint copies entitled âCelebrating 30 years of NIDA Neuroscience Researchâ. This Special Supplement to the Neuropharmacology publication will be published in October 2004, and will be available to national and international audience on Elsevierâs Science Direct to over 1,800 journals and thru html email to Elsevier members. The Neuropharmacology Journal, reviewed and accepted the articles as a special supplement issue. Elsevier Inc. is the publisher of the Neuropharmacology supplement journal. This requirement is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures and is exempt from the competition requirements of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 6. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) applicable to this requirement is 511120, Size Standard 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this requirement. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the Government.
