THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL.  A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED.  Defense Intelligence Agency intends to award a contract on a non-competitive, sole source basis to General Dynamics, C4 Systems, Inc., 77 A St, Needham, MA  02494-2806.  The sole source determination is based upon the fact that the equipment is manufactured by General Dynamics and is a controlled item. Acquisition is only allowed from the manufacturer, and not an authorized re-seller, if it is the only component being aquired and not part of a larger system or configuration. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334290, Size standard 750 employees is applicable to this requirement. Small Business Set-Aside does not apply. THis notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest asnd capabilities in response to this requirement.
