The Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center (MCMWTC) Bridgeport, CA intends to negotiate sole source with Techline Technologies Inc, 668 Davisville Rd, Willow Grove, PA 19090 for the following items and quantities: Custom Tactical Operations Manikin (T.O.M.) . The Custom T.O.M. includes the following parts: TOM-1000, TOM-2000, TOM-4205, TOM-4100, TOM-3000, TOM-5202, and TOM 5100. Quantity: 6 EA. The T.O.M. is a ruggedized patient care simulator made to withstand harsh treatment during tactical trauma training. It’s designed to move like a human, with multiple movements in the spine, shoulder, pelvic area, elbow and knees. It simulates massive bleeding, and breathing can be controlled by recovery position. This purchase will be made using Simplified Acquisition Procedures as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a Single Source. MCMWTC Bridgeport, CA has determined that no other training simulator provides the same capabilites of the T.O.M. This notice is not a Request for Quote, however, vendors may identify their interest and capability. All inquiries received by the Government before August 2, 2011 at 12:00 PM (Pacific) will be considered to determine if the Government will conduct a competitive procurement. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
