The Energetics Technology Branch (ETB) within the Weapons and Materials Research Directorate (WMRD) requires the procurement of oscillopscopes. ETB develops, synthesizes, manufactures at scale, and tests for performance new energetic materials, including Disruptive Energetics that may exhibit up to five (5) times the detonation energy of trinitrotoluene (TNT). The oscilloscopes will be used for data collection for the Low-Parallax High Brightness Imaging Facility used to characterize new explosives and to characterize the effect of shockwaves on targets. Currently, the Government owns a suite of recording oscilloscopes that consists of five (5) units from Teledyne LeCroy, purchased prior to 2010. The requested oscilloscopes will provide drop-in replacement for the current system which is interfaced to two (2) digital cameras and a high-powered pulsed laser, all of which are remotely controlled during explosive testing.
