THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using the simplified acquisition procedures under FAR Part 13 to acquire maintenance services and preserve an extended warranty for Henderson Hall's Theater System in support of the Headquarters Marine Corps, Headquarters Battalion, Information Systems Management Office, located in Arlington, Virginia. The Government intends to award a sole source contract for the above services to a small business Karcher Group Incorporated, 14221A Willard Rd. Ste 1500, Chantilly, VA 20151-2958. The Government intends to solicit only one source. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The Contractor is the sole provider and owner of the proprietary software code used by the digital theater system. DURATION: This requirement will be for a base year plus a one (1) year option period. This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request for quotation. No solicitation document is available and telephone, fax, or email request will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is within the discretion of the Government.
