This is a combined synopsis/ solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subparts 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document, incorporated provisions, and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-33 and DFARS Change Notice 20070913. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 443112, size standard $25.5 million dollars. This procurement is a 100% Small Business set-aside IAW FAR 19.502-2 (a). This is a best value award. The contractor shall provide the following items:

Cinema or Theater grade speaker system (by system, 8 speakers to distribute around theater) able to clearly replicate sound - low lows and good mid and clear highs. These speakers will be used with existing amps and equalizer.

The following is a list of required features of the speakers:
- Optimized design for smaller cinemas - up to 75 ft (16.6 m) in length
- 3-way selectable, bi-amplified or full passive screen channel system
- Heavily braced, MDF low-frequency enclosure for extended bass response
- Horn loaded midrange driver to provide highly articulate dialogue
- Shallow depth to reduce space required to mount/bracket
- Advanced crossover circuitry to protect the HF and MF drivers from over- powering and excessive low-frequency program material
- Mounting hardware to have these mounted on theater walls (mounting brackets, screws, anchors, add'l support if needed)
