This is a Request for Information (RFI) for market research purposes. The U.S. Air Force, 48th Contracting Squadron is seeking information regarding potential sources in order to assess the competiveness of the commercial marketplace for supply and installation of ASSA ABLOY keyless storage locks or storage locks that will work with an ASSA ABLOY Ving Card System.
Requirement Description:
Contractor shall supply, deliver and replace the existing locks in 9 Dormitories at RAF Lakenheath with keyless lock sets that will work with an ASSA ABLOY Ving Card system. Also needed are high security recodable cylinders, strike plates, and installation of locks.
Request for Information:
Could your company supply ASSA ABLOY Ving Card items or "equal" items that would work with the current system?
If interested, please provide a brief and concise synopsis of the items available and if you have an equal solution to the Ving Card system, provide the technical capability of the items to work with the existing Ving Card system. Also, please explain if there are any potential issues or preventative facets that would cause concern to your company in tendering a competitive proposal.
