THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Reference #: N0025917N0083. Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source, to: Edwards Lifesciences LLC; 1 Edwards Way; Irvine, California, 92614-5688. The objective of this sole source award is for a Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR). The TAVRs are custom designed specifically for a patient.
Salient Characteristics must include:
1. Sapien3 Transcatheter Aortic Heart Valve: fully collapsible replacement valve
2. Catheter Delivery system: catheter to be used to implant the Sapien 3 Transcatheter Aortic Valve
3. Compression Loading System: used to compress the Sapien 3 Transcatheter Aortic Valve (must include sheaths)
4. Two inflation systems for the valvuloplasty and delivery system
5. Crimper device for stabilization of device once placed in heart
6. On-Site support during the implantation of the device

Edwards Lifesciences LLC is the manufacturer of the needed items. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339113; the small business size standard is 750 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 06:00 AM Pacific Time on June 26, 2017 may be considered by the Government.
