Amendment 0001 is issued to answer RFI's, which is provided in the attachment section of this notice.

This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are hereby being requested under this combined synopsis/solicitation. A written solicitation will not be issued. This is a 100% Small Business Set-aside Request for Quotation (RFQ). The assigned NAICS is 335311 with a size standard of 750 employees. This requirement is being solicited as a commercial item acquisition prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subparts 12 and 13.

Requirement Details:

The Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Sierra Nevada Region (SNR), requires transformer corrosion repairs in accordance with the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS). Tasks include the removal of rust, loose paint, and painting surfaces of cleaned equipment. The transformers required for repair under this contract are four (4) ABB 550/230/34.5 KV Auto Transformers. SNR operates the transformers at Olinda Substation located in Cottonwood, CA. The Period of Performance is 11/16/2020-12/31/2020.

Offerors must complete the attached form SF1449 and email offers to Jolene Daoud at [email protected].  No phone calls will be accepted.  Please include the offeror's Unique Entity Identifier (formerly DUNS). Note: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award. 

Evaluation:

Selection and Award will be made to the single, responsible offeror, whose offer conforming to the solicitation, is determined technically acceptable and offers the lowest overall price.
