The purpose of this document is to provide interested parties with information to enable them to prepare and submit a proposal for the development and implementation of Trauma Informed Training. The organization contracted through this Request for Proposal (RFP) shall develop a training curriculum for trauma-informed organizational development or identify a pre-existing available curriculum, determine a method for delivery of the curriculum and, implement the curriculum. The focus of the Trauma Informed Training project is to support and guide child and family-serving entities in their organizational development of trauma-informed policies and practices. Trauma informed organizations recognize the impact of traumatic stress on families and communities and use this understanding to inform policies, practices, and interactions with those served. Sustaining organizational change toward becoming a trauma-informed organization requires comprehensive and creative planning and training to understand trauma-informed principles and implement practices that reduce re-traumatization and promote resiliency. The State as represented by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF) intends to use the results of this RFP to award a single contract for Trauma Informed Training.
