Scope
The six EERs are a combination of required equipment replacements and services that will
make up a partial service upgrade to renovate the Detroit VAMC Dental Suite. There are no
“new” additions of equipment to what’s already in place. More specifically this task is to replace
End of Life Cycle equipment in this service. EERs 124850 and 124851 are exclusive to the 19
exam and/or surgical chairs and the remaining 4 EERs (125962, 125982, 125983 and 125984)
are precisely for the 25 designated exam rooms in this service which are C2426-C2429, C2433,
C2437-C2439, C2440-C2441, C2443-CC2447, C2449, C2451-C2455, C2466, C2470, C2473,
C2475, and C2477-C2478; consisting of X-Ray units (arms) and computers that work
simultaneously for daily use. Therefore, the 23 replaced items MUST interconnect with – and –
seamlessly function with the non-replaced equipment.

The contractor shall provide all equipment in the stated quantities as referenced on each quote
per EER.
-The equipment will not be opened or received without the contractor’s presence to
account for all purchased equipment.
-Immediately following accountability and inspection of equipment, the service and
contractor will coordinate installation.
-Upon full installation and training the service shall inform the warehouse to completely
receive each PO so that the vendor will get paid in a timely manner.

Technical Requirements
Since there is still standing equipment in other areas of this service that is not being replaced at
this time it is imperative that the contractor have qualified personnel, supervision, and
equipment to accomplish work on schedule and to the satisfaction of the CO. Specifically, be
able to identify, connect or resolve issues with the replaced equipment to the standing
equipment for a seamless transition.
Safety Requirements
In the performance of this contract, the contractor shall take such safety precautions as may be
determined to be reasonably necessary to protect the lives and health all staff and patients.
Period of Performance
Monitoring shall commence upon delivery and shall extend through installation and the
conclusion of training.
