TRIDENT SLBM Programs, SSGN Programs, AWS Trainer Programs, AWS Development, and SWS Modernization Early Concept Development Technical and Production Services.

Technical Services in support of Trident I and Trident II Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) programs Investigation/Problem Resolution, Ohio Class Submersible Ship Guided Nuclear (SSGN), AWS Trainer requirements, Advanced Weapons Systems Development, and SWS Modernization Early Concept Development Technical and Production Services.

Specifically:

Technical support for ship systems and subsystems supporting US SSBN weapon systems.  This effort requires a contractor to have detailed platform integration, design knowledge and expertise for the TRIDENT II submarine design, the Strategic Weapon Support System design, as well as the Strategic Weapon Systems.  Potential contractors must have, as a minimum, the ability to support:

•a.                   Perform shipboard testing, inspection, maintenance, calibration, trouble shooting, and the ability to repair hydraulics, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and electronic type systems requiring extensive knowledge of the Strategic Weapons Systems (Electric Boat has been designated the TRIDENT Ship Design Agent by the Navy).

•b.                  Provide assistance and recommendations in processing Strategic Weapons System Support System trouble and failure reports.

•c.                   Provide technical support in conducting post new construction and post engineering overhaul period inspection of the Strategic Weapon Support to ensure the submarine is ready for sea.

•d.                  Provide technical recommendations for the accomplishment of SSBN and SSGN submarine essential maintenance improvement repairs and instrumentation for data collection.
