The Strategic Systems Programs intends to contract with The Boeing Company, 5301 Bolsa Avenue, Huntington Beach, CA to provide the following efforts for the TRIDENT II (D5) Navigation Subsystem:  (1) engineering support services and problem investigations for US and UK owned Electrostatically Supported Gyro Navigator (ESGN) navigation inertial instruments and equipment and Fleet documentation, (2) modification, refurbishment, and repair of US and UK ESGN instruments and equipment, (3) US and UK refurbishment of stable platform housing (SPH) and SPH support items including overhaul kits, (4) Common Missile Compartment support, and (5) Ohio Class SSBN Engineered Refueling Overhauls.  The contract will contain both United States and United Kingdom sponsored efforts for FY17 and options for FY18 efforts.  The Boeing Company is the only known source with the critical experience, expertise, personnel, facilities, and in-depth knowledge of the TRIDENT inertial navigation subsystem required to perform the subject effort. The contract will include an option provision to increase the level-of-effort items up to 30%.  Award will be made using other than full and open competition to Boeing of Huntington Beach, CA. No Solicitation package is available.

This NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS. 

The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. The Government does not intend to use FAR Part 12 for the acquisition. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.  All responses must be received within fifteen days from the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
