Proposals will be received until 12 o’clock noon on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 by electronic bid only for the following project: Troy Fire Station No. 1 in accordance with the plans and specifications now on file in the office of the Director of Public Service and Safety, City of Troy, Ohio. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will occur on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 2:00 pm at City Hall, 100 South Market Street, Troy, Ohio, 45373. The electronic bidding will be handled through the Bid Express service at www.bidexpress.com. Bidder must register, set up to bid, and review each solicitation the bidder intends to bid electronically prior to bidding. This project consists of the new construction of a fire station for the City of Troy including approx. 17,300 SF, two-story facility with apparatus bays, administration offices, and living quarters. Supporting exterior improvements are also included. All Contractors and Subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practical, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of this project. Bidders must comply with prevailing wages on Public Improvements in Miami County and the City of Troy, Ohio as department by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relocations. A bid guaranty as follows is required to accompany each proposal as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted a contract will be entered into: 1. A bid bond in the amount of 100% of the bid amount, payable to the City of Troy, Ohio, or 2. A certified check, a cashiers’ check, an Official Bank Check, or a letter of credit in the amount of 10% of the bid amount, payable to the City of Troy, Ohio. The City of Troy reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities in the bids when to the advantage of the City and to select the best bid in its opinion.
